Finding the Perfect Swimsuit This Summer - Believe me, it does exist!

To do this you need a tape measure, calculator, pen and paper and a friend or loved one so help with some of the trickier areas.
With the tape measure you need to measure:
- Shoulders around the widest part
- Bust around the middle of the breast, don’t squash the ladies
- Waist around the thinnest part or just above the belly button
- Hips at the widest part which covers the top of your bottom
Step 2: Identify your body type
Now some math comes into play here
You are a pear:
If your hip measurement is more than 5% bigger than your shoulder or bust measurements.
You are a strawberry:
If your shoulders are at least 5% bigger then your hips
You are a column:
If your shoulder, bust and hip measurements are within 5% of each other. Your waist is less than 25 percent smaller than your shoulder or bust measurements
You are an hourglass:
If your shoulders and hips are around the same size, with a very defined waistline.
You are a diamond:
If your shoulders and waist are about the same or within 5 %
You are an apple:
If your shoulders, bust and hips are within 5% of each other and your waist is about the same measurement or greater.
The thing to remember is that sometimes you might be a bit of 2 different body shapes, you might not be a definite one or another. If this is the case the idea is to be aware of what you’ve got, flaunt the good and take the focus away from the undesirable bits.
Next week, will be a blog on what swimwear is best for a pear shaped body. However, if you would like a sneak peak, you can find it HERE.
